Sub-domain, Our hosting packages allow you a chosen free sub-domain. you can choose anything.wsr3.net (so you would replace anything with your own personal choice).

What is a Sub-Domain? Also called a child domain, a domain that is part of a larger domain name in DNS hierarchy. DNS hierarchy consists of the root-level domain at the top, underneath which are the top-level domains, followed by second-level domains and finally subdomains. For example, in the domain name stonerocket.wsr3.net, "stonerocket" is a subdomain of the larger second-level domain "wsr3.net.

Full Domain also reffered as TLD - Top Level Domain
If you are lucky enough to own your own domain (TLD) then you are welcome to use on our hosting service, please point your domain to our nameservers which are ns1.stonerocket.co.uk and ns2.stonerocket.co.uk

What is a Domain? A name that identifies one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name microsoft.com represents about a dozen IP addresses. Domain names are used in URLs to identify particular Web pages. For example, in the URL http://www.stonerocket.co.uk/index.html, the domain name is stonerocket.co.uk.

Every domain name has a suffix that indicates which top level domain (TLD) it belongs to. For example:

# co.uk - United Kingdom

Because the Internet is based on IP addresses, not domain names, every Web server requires a Domain Name System (DNS) server to translate domain names into IP addresses.
